EARLY universe FILLED WITH BLACK HOLES
Using the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, a group of Astronomers believe they've gathered proof that the early universe was teeming with black holes of all sizes. The new observations are the deepest X-ray images every recorded, and required a total exposure time of 11 days. And from their research Astronomers estimate that there were at least 200 million supermassive black holes and many more smaller ones in the early Universe.

MIR COMING DOWN ON MARCH 22ND
Russian space officials have announced the precise date that they intend to crash Mir - March 22, 2001, which is two days before previous estimates. At approximately 0020 GMT (7:20pm EST) ground controllers will fire Mir's engines three times to drop it out of orbit. It will then descend through the Earth's atmosphere and crash into the South Pacific approximately 6 hours later.
