The shuttle and its cargo of the US Destiny laboratory module should have been in space a month ago, but suspected problems with cables that connect the shuttle to its booster rockets kept Atlantis grounded for tests. Tito, a former NASA engineer and self-made multimillionaire, is expected to launch April 30th on board a Soyuz rocket. He'll then spend 10-days in orbit assisting the 2-cosmonaut crew on various maintenance and scientific activities. It's rumoured that NASA and the European Space Agency may still try to block Tito's flight. The map was produced by watching the shadow of Pluto's Moon Charon as it passed across the surface of the planet. Each time Charon passed in front, the Astronomers were able to measure the variations in light on the planet's surface. We won't know if the map is accurate until Pluto is visited by spacecraft - this isn't expected to happen any earlier than 2015.
