Device Could Make Breathable Air on Mars
ALIEN GASES PRESERVED ON Earth IN 'BUCKYBALLS'
Gases from outer space, carried with comets and asteroids that
collided with the Earth, are trapped withing carbon molecules called
'buckyballs'. These molecular cages are found all over the world, and
contain gases that arrived on the eath 65 million years ago in a
collision that may have wiped out the dinosaurs.
NASA EXPECTED MARS LANDER FAILURE
A leaked report supports rumors that a NASA review was aware of
fatal design flaws in the Mars Polar Lander.
DEVICE COULD MAKE BREATHABLE AIR ON MARS
A device currently being tested in prototype stage could allow Mars colonists to produce their own oxygen. Producing air, using materials found on Mars would dramatically reduce the amount of material needed from Earth for a manned mission. This, in turn, would reduce the costs and risks of such a mission.
